Recap Omnissa One Amsterdam.

Postdate 25-10-2024

After the amazing Omnissa One event in Amsterdam, Omnissa has shown the direction the company is heading in the future. It was important to see so many customers and partners present and to witness the great plans. Looking back at the Omnissa One event, Omnissa has given customers a clearer picture of where the company wants to go, which provided me with confidence for the future.

In this recap, I would like to highlight a few points mentioned during Omnissa One.

Omnissa and CrowdStrike have announced a collaboration.

Omnissa and CrowdStrike have announced a partnership to enhance the cybersecurity of their customers and platforms. This collaboration focuses on providing an end-to-end solution for threat visibility and interconnected vulnerability detection, while also applying remediation.

We are talking about CrowdStrike's AI-driven Falcon cybersecurity platform. CrowdStrike is one of the leaders in the field of EDR and XDR technology, and with the Falcon cybersecurity platform that uses Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, they offer a targeted approach to vulnerabilities.

Omnissa Omni AI Assistant:

Soon, Omnissa will make Omni AI available in Beta for customers. This will bring generative AI and large language models into the Omnissa Platform. With this, customers can request data analysis in the UEM, Horizon, Intelligence, and Omnissa Connect consoles. Additionally, Omni can also provide advice with suggested solutions and optimizations. For Omnissa, this is a great step forward in the use of AI within their platform.

UEM modern architecture:

The modern architecture for Workspace ONE UEM is now generally available and is being rolled out. The new architecture offers the following benefits:

  • Improvements in resource deployment with speed enhancements of up to 10x, allowing implementations to be completed in just a few hours.
  • Enhanced performance of the Device List View.
  • improved experience in tracking resource deliveries.
  • Enhanced security.
  • And many more great improvements.

Vulnerability Defense:

In the first half of 2025, this option will be available in beta. With Vulnerability Defense, customers can assess and remediate threats more quickly by linking configuration, OS, and app vulnerabilities to endpoints in UEM. This option even allows customers to initiate the recovery process in conjunction with Freestyle Orchestrator. The demo shown at Omnissa One was promising, and I believe this option will improve the patching of CVE vulnerabilities.

During the event, I also recorded a live session together with Sander Noordijk from Omnissa:

The ITQ recap by Johan en Jesper:

All in all, it was a fantastic event, and it was great to see Omnissa showcasing itself to the outside world. Many amazing features will be coming in the near future that customers and partners will greatly benefit from.
